Just a 40-minute journey from Dublin, and known as the ‘Garden of Ireland’, this tour takes you to the stunning Wicklow Mountains. First stop: the beautiful Powerscourt estate. Next, we then move onto the awe-inspiring Powerscourt Waterfalls, where you’ll witness Ireland’s highest waterfall standing at 121m (397 ft).

From there your journey continues through the Wicklow mountains to the serene Glendalough lakes – carved from the melting ice of an ancient glacier, with the upper lake being one of the most scenic locations in Ireland. Here you can also visit the early Christian monastic settlement founded by St Kevin in the 6th century, and developed into a monastic city.

The tour then includes a scenic drive along the cliffs overlooking Lough Tay (one of the most photographed Wicklow locations, alongside Glendalough), also known as the Guinness Lakes.

We then culminate the journey with a traditional Irish meal and a Guinness at the historic Johnnie Fox’s pub – a place steeped in history since 1798 and reputed to be the highest pub in Ireland.

Of course, there are numerous private tour variations to choose from, each of which can be tailored to your liking for a truly unique experience.

From there, we travel along the scenic coastal route of Antrim and head further north up the coast to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Giant’s Causeway – a breathtaking beauty and natural marvel of 40,000 hexagonal-shaped black basalt columns, shaped by ancient volcanic activity some 50 to 60 million years ago.

The journey continues along the stunningly scenic Causeway Coastal route, stopping at the picturesque 16th century ruins of Dunluce Castle, a filming location for the well-known HBO series, Game of Thrones. From there we’ll reach the village of Doolin, a gateway to the ancient sites of the Aran Islands and the home of traditional Irish music. Here you can also dine like a local, experiencing fresh locally inspired dishes and the distinct flavours of the Wild Atlantic and Burren region.

We then move onto the Cliffs of Moher, part of the UNESCO global geopark, and one of Ireland’s most popular tourist attractions. Rising out of the Atlantic waters to a height of 213m (700ft), you’ll have the option to hike along the cliff’s edge or take a boat and cruise beneath them for a different perspective – both choices are spectacular ways to view the Cliffs of Moher.

The day concludes with a visit to Bunratty Castle & Folk Park as we make our way back to Dublin. Built in the 15th century, Bunratty Castle is the most complete and authentic castle in Ireland.

The folk park features over 30 buildings in a ‘living’ village and rural setting. Rural farmhouses, village shops, and streets are recreated and furnished as they would have appeared at the time.

Of course, there are numerous private tour variations to choose from, each of which can be tailored to your liking for a truly unique experience.
